2013 - Fourth Year Apprentice - Annonymous #1

I have worked both union and non-union.  For the most part, being union is a better choice because of the school program, better wages, health insurance and a great retirement program.  The union hall gives you choices to move up the "ladder" and expand your knowledge.  That allowes you to take your career to a level that you choose and suits your lifestyle.  The bond you form with fellow members "brothers" lasts a lifetime and are there for you on a professional level and a personal level to help move you in a positive forward direction in life.  There is no doubt in my mind I made the right choice to become a member of the sheet metal workers union.  I only wish I had done it sooner.
